By Andrew Gans
09 Jun 2008

Julie Foldesi

Two staged readings of Ghosts: The Musical will be presented at the York Theatre Company June 16.

Adam Fitzgerald will direct the 3 and 7 PM readings with musical direction by Brett Keith. Neil Port and Will Jones of P&J Productions produce.

The cast will feature Diana Phelan as Anna, Julie Foldesi as Margaret Parsimony, Rob Maitner as The Ghost of Winchester Montague Sullivan III, Patrick Moran as The Ghost of Dooley O'Brian, Amy Goldberger as The Ghost of Hilda Hess, Richard Roland as The Ghost of Memphis Aaron, Emily Harvey as The Ghost of Elizabeth Hart, Steven Strafford as Dexter and Alex Brightman as Toby. Monica Cuoco is the production stage manager.

Ghosts: The Musical features a book and score by William Allen Jones. The musical, according to press notes, is "the story of the Ravenwood Theatre and its inherited owner, young Anna Martin. When a savvy real estate agent tries to foreclose on the cherished theatrical landmark, Anna inspires the help of the Theater's spiritual past to save the doomed property. With the help of ghoulish friends and determination, Anna learns the true lesson of what it means to believe."

The readings, which are open to the public, will be held at the Theatre at St. Peters, home of The York Theater Company, at 619 Lexington Avenue. To attend e-mail info@ghoststhemusical.com.
