All Bob's Women Closes in West End After Six Performances

By Mark Shenton
29 Jun 2008

All Bob’s Women, a new musical that featured "I'd Do Anything" contestant Amy Booth-Steele — she was the first to be voted off the reality program — has been voted out of the West End.

The musical shuttered at the Arts Theatre June 28, after a run of three previews and six regular performances.

The musical officially opened June 24 and had been originally scheduled to run to Aug. 24. A press statement said the musical would close "after receiving a mauling from the critics."

One of its producers, Guido Fabris for Chokalate, said, "Unfortunately this is another example of a European hit getting lost in translation in London. The original Italian version of All Bob's Women ran for nine months in Milan. We are extremely proud of our cast and production team and the hard work they put in."

The show revolved around Casasanova Bob, a man on a mission: to seduce five very different women and manage to keep them apart so they don't become aware of all his other conquests. The cast also featured Nicole Faraday (star of TV's "Bad Girls," who also subsequently appeared in the West End musical version in 2007), Sharon Cherry Ballard, Danielle Corlass, Sam Oatley, Tanya Robb and Lucy Thatcher.
