The new official website for the Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, ahrensandflaherty.com, launched on July 8.

Fans of the work of lyricist Ahrens and composer Flaherty — writers of scores for the musicals Lucky Stiff, Seussical, Once On This Island, Ragtime, My Favorite Year, Dessa Rose, A Man of No Importance, The Glorious Ones and the animated musical "Anastasia" — will find sound, video and visuals from the team's work in theatre, film, television and concerts. Ahrens and Flaherty are also librettists of some of their projects.

Also in the site are a downloadable press kit, discography and links to professional contacts, publishers and a fan site called wetellthestory.com. The site also offer details about their available CDs, sheet music and publications.

Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty won the Tony Award for the score of the Broadway musical Ragtime. They also co-created the Broadway musicals Once On This Island and Seussical, and contributed special musical material to Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life. The team has had four shows produced by Lincoln Center Theatre: A Man of No Importance, Dessa Rose, My Favorite Year and this past season's The Glorious Ones. They are co-creators of the musical farce Lucky Stiff.

For the song score of Twentieth Century Fox's animated feature film, "Anastasia," Ahrens and Flaherty were nominated for two Academy Awards and two Golden Globes.

Other honors include the Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Olivier, Emmy, Joseph Jefferson and Helen Hayes Awards, as well as three Grammy nominations.

Individually, Ahrens' credits include co-book and lyrics for A Christmas Carol (ten years at Madison Square Garden); teleplay adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" (NBC/Hallmark Entertainment Special); songwriter-singer for "Schoolhouse Rock" and many other network shows.

Flaherty's credits include concert premieres at the Hollywood Bowl and Boston's Symphony Hall; commissions from the Guggenheim Museum, Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space; incidental music for Neil Simon's Proposals on Broadway; and the musical score for Loving Repeating: A Musical Of Gertrude Stein.

Ahrens and Flaherty co-chair the Dramatists Guild Fellows program for emerging writers in New York City.

In conjunction with the launch of the new ahrensandflaherty.com comes the launch of the new website wetellthestory.com, run by Ronni Krasnow. This authorized Ahrens and Flaherty fan website features include a Regional Spotlight, an Alumni Spotlight, news archives, Ronni's blog and much more.
