In the Heights and Pure Country Stars Play "Broadway in Bryant Park"

In the Heights' Christopher Jackson and Janet Dacal, Drew Lachey and Pure Country's Jeb Brown and Lauren Kennedy continue the "Broadway in Bryant Park" summer series July 17.

Radio station 106.7 Lite FM presents the midday series, which highlights current and upcoming musicals on and Off-Broadway. The performances, which launched July 10 at the midtown park, continue Thursdays (12:30 PM-1:30 PM) on The Lawn.

Scheduled to perform July 17 are Avenue Q's Ann Sanders, Carey Anderson, Carla Renata and Christian Anderson; The Phantom of the Opera's John Cudia, Elizabeth Loyacano and Paul A. Schaefer; Pure Country's Jeb Brown and Lauren Kennedy; Mamma Mia!'s Ben Gettinger, Amina Robinson, Corey Greenan, Raymond J. Lee, Brent Black, Timothy Booth, Isaac Calpito, Allyson Carr, Frankie James Grande, Bryan Scott Johnson, Monia Kapoor, Robin Levine, Gerard Salvador, Collette Simmons and Traci Victoria; as well as In The Heights's Christopher Jackson, Olga Merediz, Janet Dacal and more.

The seventh annual series line-up (subject to change) follows:

  • July 10 - Chicago, Monty Python's Spamalot, Russian on the Side, [title of show] and Stomp
  • July 17 - Avenue Q, The Phantom of the Opera, Pure Country, Mamma Mia! and In the Heights
  • July 24 - The Lion King, Passing Strange, Hairspray, Godspell and A Catered Affair
  • July 31 - The Little Mermaid, Altar Boyz, Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy, Jump and A Tale of Two Cities
  • Aug. 7 - Spring Awakening, Gypsy, Xanadu, Mary Poppins and Wicked
  • Aug. 14 - Grease, Young Frankenstein, Rent, Legally Blonde and 13

    Bryant Park is located just behind the New York Public Library on Sixth Avenue between 40th and 42nd Streets. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
