Huff, Reeder, Fumusa, Lucas, Emmerich and Mudge Will Be Part of Powerhouse Season

Casting has been announced for the Inside Look series, which is part of the current Vassar and New York Stage and Film Powerhouse Theater season.
As previously announced, the series includes presentations of Alan Zweibel's one-man show, The History of Me, directed by Ron Lagomarsino (July 18–20); Dael Orlandersmith's Horsedreams, directed by Gordon Edelstein (July 25–27); and Stephen Belber's Fault Lines, directed by David Schwimmer (Aug. 2-3).
The Inside Look series is "intended to bridge the gap between a reading and a full production," according to press notes. Works are presented with scripts-in-hand and with minimal production values.
Alan Zweibel's The History of Me, according to press notes, "traces Zweibel's career from apprenticeship (selling $7 jokes to Catskill comedians), through his years as a member of the original 'Saturday Night Live' team (including his wildly popular collaboration with his friend Gilda Radner), and the ensuing adventures of his professional and personal life." History of Me plays the Stein Shiva Theater.
Horsedreams, which will also play the Susan Stein Shiva Theater, will feature playwright Orlandersmith as well as Sean Curley (Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast), Neal Huff (Trumpery, Take Me Out) and Ana Reeder (Top Girls, Sight Unseen). According to the Powerhouse, "Orlandersmith portrays Mira, the nanny of Luka (Sean Curley), who is the son of Loman (Neal Huff) and Desiree, Loman's dead wife's ghost (Ana Reeder). This work explores a story of addiction, crossing class, race, and gender lines to find a ten-year-old child who must invent an adult within in order to confront the devastation that surrounds him."
Fault Lines, which will be seen in the Martel Theater of the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film, is described as such: "Whole Foods. Enlarged prostates. The proactive delineation of loyalty and conviction. A play that approaches what it means to approach 40." The cast will include Dominic Fumusa (Tape, Tuesdays with Morrie, Wait Until Dark) as Jim, Josh Lucas (The Glass Menagerie) as Bill, Noah Emmerich (Pride and Glory) as Joe and Jennifer Mudge (Reckless) as Jess.
