LAST CHANCE: Playbill.com's Reminder of NYC Shows Closing July 27

By Adam Hetrick
24 Jul 2008

The devil's sexy assistant, a long-running Off-Broadway revue, and a tale of a family milestone all disappear July 27. What follows is Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway and Off-Broadway productions before they close.

Closing July 27

  • A Catered Affair (Broadway) The marriage-minded chamber musical penned by John Bucchino and Harvey Fierstein, under the direction of John Doyle. Fierstein stars alongside Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh. For tickets visit A Catered Affair.

  • I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Off-Broadway) Jimmy Roberts and Joe DiPietro created Off-Broadway's second longest-running musical that comically delves into relationships and dating. For tickets visit I Love You, You're Perfect...

  • Damn Yankees (City Center Encores!) John Rando directs Cheyenne Jackson, Sean Hayes, Jane Krakowski, Randy Graff and Megan Lawrence in the Faustian baseball musical with a score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, and a book by George Abbott. For tickets visit City Center Encores!

  • Gate|Beckett (Lincoln Center Festival) For the final two performances July 26 and 27, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Barry McGovern will be joined by Julianne Moore or Cynthia Nixon to read the poetry and prose of Samuel Beckett. For tickets visit Lincoln Center Festival.

  • East to Edinburgh Fest (Off-Broadway) 59E59 Theaters presents U.S. productions — including Dirt, 7 SINS, Queen of Wyoming and Mythellaneous — that will play the Edinburgh Festival Fringe later this August. For tickets visit East to Edinburgh.

  • Summer Play Festival (Off-Broadway). In residence at the Public Theater, final SPF productions include Future Me (featuring music by Stew) with Aaron Lohr, and Tio Pepe, featuring Barret Foa. For tickets visit SPF2008.
