Actor and TV personality Mario Lopez, currently making his Broadway debut in A Chorus Line, was honored with a painting to grace the walls of the Entertainment Icons Gallery at Tony's Di Napoli Restaurant on West 43rd Street.

Friends and fellow cast members gathered at the popular theatre-district eatery the evening of July 24 for the unveiling of the work by painter Dan May.

Since bursting onto the scene in the teen sitcom "Saved by the Bell," Lopez has remained a familiar face to television audiences as an actor, contestant and host. The busy San Diego native was an audience favorite on the third season of "Dancing With the Stars." Hosting credits include "Pet Star" on the Animal Planet channel, ESPN2's "ESPN Hollywood," and major prime time pageants including Miss Teen USA, Miss America and Miss Universe. He is currently juggling his busy Broadway schedule with hosting duties for MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew."

Lopez recently enjoyed a memorable guest stint as Dr. Mike Hamoui on the FX Network's "Nip/Tuck," a role he announced Thursday he will reprise in the upcoming season. It was also announced that he plans to step into a hosting role on the news magazine show "Extra," for which he has previously served as a guest celebrity correspondent.

Having joined the cast of this first-ever Broadway revival of A Chorus Line in April, Lopez will remain with the show until its announced closing date of August 17. It will have played 18 previews and 759 regular performances at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
