Lenox, Larson, Gruffudd, Shaud, Makkena, Puzzo to Take Part in Free Powerhouse Reading Series

Casting has been announced for the Aug. 1-3 Readings Festival, part of Vassar and New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater season in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Five readings will comprise the free series: Mean Time (Aug. 1 at 8 PM at the Susan Stein Shiva Theater), Enough (Aug. 2 at 2 PM at the Susan Stein Shiva Theater), Little Black Dress) (Aug. 2 at 5 PM at the Susan Stein Shiva Theater), Knowing Cairo (Aug. 3 at 2 PM at the Susan Stein Shiva Theater) and Veronica (Aug. 3 at 5 PM at the Martel Theater in the Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film).

Directed by Daniel Aukin, Alexandra Gersten-Vassilaros' Mean Time will feature Francois Battiste, Aadya Bedi, Alicia Goranson, Jesse Hooker, Jill Larson, Ramiz Monsef, Diana Ruppe, Elliot Villar and Delaney Williams. Deborah Rennard's Enough, under the direction of Max Mayer, will include Alice Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, Grant Shaud and Maria Thayer. Christopher Abbott, Robert Clohessy, Wendy Makkena and Nick Westrate will star in Ronan Noone's Little Black Dress under the direction of Ari Edelson. Knowing Cairo, directed by Rebecca Taichman, will feature Lise Bruneau, Marcia Jean Kurtz and Adriane Lenox. And, Veronica – written and directed by John Patrick Shanley — will include Livia DePaolis and Michael Puzzo.
