Bob Amaral and Joel Newsome star in the award-winning Mel Brooks musical comedy, The Producers, which officially opens Aug. 14 at the Westchester Broadway Theatre.
Under the direction of David Edwards, the production began performances Aug. 7 and will continue through Nov. 15. Producers national tour veteran Amaral stars as conniving producer Max Bialystock with Newsome as his accountant Leo Bloom.
The Westchester production also stars Karen McNay as Ulla, Craig Fols as Roger DeBris, John West as Carmen Ghia and Eric Anderson as Franz Liebkind.
The Producers ensemble comprises Delaine Andrzejewski, Jesse Coleman, Amy Griffin, Karen Hyland, John Ryan Jacobs, Sean McNight, Rob Oullette, Lindsay Packard, Ron Remke, Lara Seibert, Melissa Sybil, Anthony Valbiro, Correy West, Tracy J. Wholf and Jesse Wildman.
The creative team also includes Matthew Vargo and his assistant Sean McKnight (choreography) as well as Peter Barbieri (set design), Andrew Gmoser (lighting design), Jon Hatton (sound design), Matthew Hemesath (costume design) and Gerard Kelly (wig and hair design).
