The cast of theatre hopefuls in the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line put themselves on the line one final time Aug. 17 when the landmark musical plays its final performance at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.

Following a six-week run at San Francisco's Curran Theatre, A Chorus Line returned to Broadway for the first time since its original record-breaking run, officially opening on Oct. 6, 2006. Restaged by Bob Avian and Baayork Lee, A Chorus Line has played 18 previews and 759 regular performances at the Schoenfeld.

Produced by John Breglio, who also serves as the legal representation for the estate of the late Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line recouped its entire initial investment of $8 million only 19 weeks after opening, breaking the house record seven times in its first five months on Broadway.

The musical received two Tony Award nominations, including one for Best Revival of a Musical and the other for actress Charlotte d'Amboise in the role of Cassie. D'Amboise departed the production Aug. 10.

The final cast for the Broadway revival of A Chorus Line features Nick Adams (Larry), Tommy Berklund (Greg), Mike Cannon (Al), Natalie Cortez (Diana), Dena Digiacinto (Bebe), Jenifer Foote (Val), Jessica Lee Goldyn (Cassie), Deidre Goodwin (Sheila), Bryan Knowlton (Paul), James T. Lane (Richie), Melissa Lone (Maggie), Mario Lopez (Zach), J. Elaine Marcos (Connie), Paul McGill (Mark), Heather Parcells (Judy), Adam Perry (Don), Jeffrey Schecter (Mike), Will Taylor (Bobby) and Katherine Tokarz (Kristine).

The ensemble comprises Deanna Agulnega, Todd Anderson, Michelle Aravena, Kurt Domoney, Joey Dudding, Eric DySart, Lyndy Franklin, Lorin Latarro, Courtney Laine Mazza, Eric Sciotto, Kim Shriver, Grant Turner and Deone Zanotto.

A Chorus Line has a book by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by the late Edward Kleban.

The design team for the 2006 restaging reunited much of the original creative team, including Robin Wagner (sets), Theoni V. Aldredge (costumes), Natasha Katz and Tharon Musser (lighting) and Acme Sound Partners (sound). Musical direction and supervision is by Patrick Vaccariello, with updated orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick, Billy Byers and Hershey Kay and vocal arrangements are by Don Pippin.

A replica of its Broadway counterpart, the national tour of A Chorus Line currently plays The Civic Center in San Diego, CA.
