By Adam Hetrick
08 Aug 2008

Robert Evan as Jean Valjean

Robert Evan, Nikki Renee Daniels, Jenny Fellner and Robert Hunt will climb the barricades of Les Misérables for Atlanta's Theater of the Stars.

The resident production, under the direction of Fred Hanson, runs Sept. 19-28 at the Fox Theatre. The popular tale of redemption and love, spanning three turbulent decades of 19th century France, features music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, with original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel and additional material by James Fenton.

For the Atlanta staging, Robert Evan will portray Jean Valjean with Robert Hunt as Javert; both actors appeared in the recent Broadway revival of Les Misérables.

The company also features Nikki Renee Daniels (Fantine), Anderson Davis (Marius), Deborah Lew (Cosette), Jenny Fellner (Eponine), Cindy Benson (Madame Thenardier), Laurent Giroux (Thenardier), Edward Watts (Enjolras), Kylie Liya Goldstein and Carly Rose Sonenclar (Young Cosette/Young Eponine) and Jimmy McEvoy and Jake Schwencke (Gavroche).

The ensemble for Les Miserables includes Zach Bandler, Rachel Cantor, Dawn Cantwell, Michael Deleget, Joseph Dellger, Andrew Foote, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Adrianne Hick, Siri Howard, Margaret Kelly, C. Mingo Long, Samia Mounts, Adrienne Muller, Jason Ostrowski, Romney Piamonte, Jennifer Semrick, Daniel Spiotta, Greg Stone, Justin Stoney, Anita Vasan, Brian Walker and Chis Ware.

Designing Les Misérables are Matt Kinley (scenic designer), Ken Billington (lighting designer) Peter Fitzgerald and Erich Bechtel (sound designers), Zachary Borovay (projection designer) and Dan Riddle (musical director and conductor).

The Theater of the Stars production of Les Misérables plays Atlanta's Fox Theatre, located at 660 Peachtree Street. Tickets are available by calling (404) 817-8700 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com
