By Adam Hetrick
18 Aug 2008

Kristen Johnston, Richard Kind and Eugene Pack will kick-off the open-ended New York return of Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words Sept. 8 at the Triad.

As previously reported, the specialty show in which stars read from celebrity memoirs will be back this fall following an extended sold-out limited engagement this past winter at the Triad.

Reading the words of the famous and infamous on Sept. 8 will be Kristen Johnston (The Women), Richard Kind (The Producers), Rachel Dratch ("SNL"), Sherri Shepherd ("The View"), Dayle Reyfel and Celebrity Autobiography creator Eugene Pack.

The same line-up of performers will return the following two weeks, joined by Bruce Vilanch (Sept. 15) and Claudia Shear (Sept. 22).

Also slated to participate throughout the run are Bob Balaban, Susie Essman, Will Forte, Cheyenne Jackson, Carson Kressley, Andrea Martin, Tony Roberts, Seth Rudetsky, Michael Urie, Kristen Wiig, BD Wong, Karen Ziemba and Alan Zweibel.

Among the celebrities whose personal stories are presented in the evenings are Elizabeth Taylor, Mr T, Tommy Lee, Sylvester Stallone, Ivana Trump, Vanna White, Star Jones, Kenny Loggins, Burt Reynolds, Loni Anderson, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. The cast and what autobiographies are presented rotate on a weekly basis.

Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words plays Mondays at 7:30 PM. Tickets, $35-$45, are available by phoning (212) 868-4444 or by visiting Smarttix.com.

The Triad Theater has a two-drink minimum and is a cash-only venue. The Triad is located in Manhattan at 158 West 72nd Street.
