PHOTO CALL: Spring's Lea Michele Sings in L.A. Cabaret Debut

Spring Awakening's Lea Michele, seen recently in Les Misérables in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl, made her West Coast cabaret with three sell-out nights at West Hollywood's Upright Cabaret.

Richard Jay-Alexander directed the evenings Aug. 15-17 at the intimate nightspot located within Mark's Restaurant. Ben Toth provided musical direction.

Michele sang tunes from The Wild Party, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Misérables and from Spring Awakening — the Tony Award-winning musical in which she created the role of Wendla. She was joined by special guest (and recent Les Miz co-star) John Lloyd Young, Tony winner for Jersey Boys.

Michele has also appeared on the Broadway stage in Fiddler on the Roof, Ragtime and Les Misérables as well as The Diary of Anne Frank regionally.
