Broadway Cares Auctions "Project Runway" Drag Designs

Designs from Bravo's "Project Runway" are currently being auctioned to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
For the Aug. 20 episode of the popular Bravo design competition, contestants were required to create an ensemble for some of New York's most notable drag queens, including Varla Jean Merman, Sweetie, Hedda Lettuce, Acid Betty and Sherry Vine.
Infamous drag artist RuPaul served as the guest judge for the 11 designs, all of which are currently up for auction on the official Project Runway website.
About her "Project Runway" experience, Varla Jean Merman commented, "What can I say? Heidi Klum said I had an amazing body! Now, if only Barbra Streisand would say I had an amazing voice, I could die happy today. Babs, give me a ring or just buy the outfit! Either would put a smile on my face."
In addition to the available designs, former "Project Runway" contestant Malan Breton has donated a pair of tickets to see his spring 2009 collection in the upcoming New York Fashion Week in Bryant Park. These tickets, which will also benefit BC/EFA, are currently available for bid on eBay.
