Everyman artistic director Vincent M. Lancisi stages John Patrick Shanley's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning 90-minute drama that officially opens Aug. 29 and runs through Oct. 5.
Doubt is set in a Bronx, NY, Catholic parish where Father Flynn is suspected by Sister Aloysius, the school's principal, of having an inappropriate relationship with one of his male students. The young boy's mother only complicates matters in her response to the allegations, thrusting Sister Aloysius into a conflicted dialogue about her own faith and the cost of the pursuit of truth.
Giannarelli is cast as Sister Aloysius alongside Brandhagen as Father Flynn. The cast also features Dawn Ursula as Mrs. Mueller and Katy Carkuff as Sister James.
Designing the production are James Fouchard (set design), Diana Khoury (costume design), Jay Herzog (lighting design) and Chas Marsh (sound design).
Tickets for Doubt are currently available by phoning (410) 752-2208 or by visiting www.everymantheatre.org.
The Everyman Theatre is located at 1727 N. Charles Street in Baltimore, MD.
