The young star made his Broadway debut by joining the cast Aug. 11 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.

Assuming the lead of Melchior, Parrish is joined on stage by Alexandra Socha as Wendla and Gerard Canonico as Moritz.

Composer Duncan Sheik and lyricist-librettist Steven Sater created the new musical based on the Frank Wedekind 1891 play. The show earned eight 2007 Tony Awards, including the top prize of Best Musical. Michael Mayer directed and Bill T. Jones choreographed.
