Eaton Will Be Corsetless at Carnegie Hall Sept. 15

Actress Catherine Eaton will bring her one-woman show Corsetless to Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall Sept. 15.

Presented as part of An Evening with Elaine Kwon, who composed the original score for the piece, Corsetless incorporates original music and highlights from Shakespeare's canon.

Charles Grodin emcees the evening that will also feature the talents of Valentin Peytchinov, Brittany Maier and Jacquelyn Familant.

Corsetless, press notes state, "follows Liv, a brilliant and troubled woman, fighting for her freedom in a mental institution. Trapped, she continues communicating solely through the words of William Shakespeare, savagely defending her sanity against a team of doctors holding her in isolation."

Eaton (Clocks and Whistles, "All My Children") is currently adapting Corsetless for the screen. The work was previously presented in a staged reading at Lincoln Center Theater directed by Ethan McSweeny and in a developmental run at Irish Classical Theatre.
