PHOTO CALL: "Spring Awakening: In the Flesh" Book Signing

By Matthew Blank
17 Sep 2008

Spring Awakening creators Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik joined cast members from the Tony Award-winning musical Sept. 15 at the Lincoln Triangle Barnes and Noble to celebrate the release of "Spring Awakening: In the Flesh."

Created by author David Cote, the book traces Spring Awakening's journey from workshops and its Off-Broadway world premiere through its Tony-winning arrival on Broadway.

At Barnes and Noble Cote was joined by Sater and Sheik as well as current Spring cast members Hunter Parrish, Alexandra Socha, Gerard Canonico, Emma Hunton, Caitlin Kinnunen, Amanda Castanos and Emily Kinney who performed excerpts from the rock score. A book signing followed the 5 PM performance.

For further information or to purchase the new book, visit SpringAwakening: IntheFlesh.

Spring Awakening continues to play the Eugene O'Neill Theatre at 230 West 49th Street.
