| photo by Joan Marcus | The Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific offers a special performance Sept. 21 to benefit the Actors Fund of America.
The 8 PM performance of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical now playing Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theater will benefit the non-profit organization. Tickets, priced $75-$125 (with VIP seats priced $200-$350), are available by calling (212) 221-7300, ext. 133.
Directed by Tony winner Barlett Sher, South Pacific co-stars Kelli O'Hara and Tony winner Paulo Szot. The musical plays the Beaumont, located in Manhattan at 150 West 65th Street.
The Actors Fund, which was founded in 1882, is a non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Some of the many programs The Actors Fund provides include a nursing home and assisted living care facility; senior and disabled programs; mental health services; chemical dependency services; entertainment industry assistance programs; the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative; the AIDS Initiative; and supportive housing on both coasts.
