Academy Award nominee Annette Bening will play Margo Channing in a reading of the screenplay of the classic backstage drama "All About Eve."

The reading, which will benefit the Actors Fund of America, will be presented Nov. 10 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. Emmy and DGA Award winner John Erman will direct the reading; additional casting will be announced shortly. Show time is 7:30 PM.

The 1950 film "All About Eve" was written and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, based on the short story "The Wisdom of Eve" by Mary Orr. The motion picture starred Bette Davis as Channing, the prominent yet aging Broadway star, and Anne Baxter as Eve Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into Channing's life.

The film was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture.

On Broadway Annette Bening starred in Coastal Disturbances, earning a Theatre World Award and a Tony nomination for her performance. She was Oscar-nominated for her roles in "Being Julia," "American Beauty" and "The Grifters."

The Eugene O'Neill Theatre is located in Manhattan at 230 West 49th Street. Tickets for the reading, which begin at $100, are available by calling (212) 221-7300, ext. 133 or online at tickets@actorsfund.org. For more information visit www.actorsfund.org.
