terraNOVA Collective's 2008-2009 season in residence at DR2 begins with Kate McGovern's Blue Before Morning, Oct. 18-Nov. 8. Gia Forakis directs the dramatic journey that begins when "a New York cabbie picks up a teenage girl headed for the bus station. Before long, they're driving to South Carolina, accompanied by a very pregnant, foul-mouthed hitchhiker. The three strangers hit I-95 and find themselves on a journey of unusual coincidences and second chances that straddle past and present while leading them toward an unlikely future."
DR2 will also host terraNOVA's Groundbreakers Writer's Workshop later this month, as well as the biennial Groundbreakers Reading series in the spring of 2009, and the 6th Annual soloNOVA Arts Festival in May of 2009.
Previous terraNOVA productions include Baby Steps by James Carter, Buck Fever by Juan C. Sanchez, Baby Love by Christen Clifford, Feeder: A Love Story, as well as the touring production of Masquerade: calypso and home, written and performed by Roger Bonair-Agard.
