Wicked's Galde and Poppins' McCourt to Star in Planet Hollywood's Planet Broadway

Planet Hollywood Times Square will preview its new Broadway-themed show, Planet Broadway, Oct. 19.

The show, which features the creative team behind Wicked's "Behind the Emerald Curtain" — Sean McCourt (Mary Poppins) and Anthony Galde (Wicked — is one hour in duration and allows the audience the chance to experience Broadway as an insider.

An interactive, multimedia show, Planet Broadway is described as "an ingenious combination of live performance and film, [where audiences will] meet a Broadway actor who takes you on a journey along the Road to Broadway. You'll feel everything from the chill of the audition room to the thrill of opening night."

In the new show, which will be offered Sundays at 11 AM, the actor auditions for an "irascible on-screen casting director who appears on the big screen in front of you. For his 'audition' the actor even performs a unique song and dance routine created specifically for Planet Broadway."

The Planet Broadway experience also includes a documentary featuring a mix of Broadway performers, who share their stories about making it on The Great White Way.

The actors will rotate in the role of the auditioning performer.

Tickets, priced $23 per person (groups of 20 or more pay $20 per person), are available by calling (212) 333-7827. Planet Hollywood is located in Manhattan at 1540 Broadway at 45th Street.
