Copacabana, Les Miserables and Into the Woods are among the musicals that will be part of the 2009 summer season at the Pittsburgh CLO.

The previously announced national tour of Legally Blonde, starring Becky Gulsvig, as well as five resident productions will be presented at the Benedum Center.

First up is Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's biblical vaudeville Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, running May 26-June 7, 2009. Legally Blonde, with a book by Heather Hach and a score by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin, arrives June 9-14, 2009.

The Tony-nominated big band revue Swing!, including the hits "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "I'll Be Seeing You" and "In the Mood," will run June 20-26, 2009. A new production of Boublil and Schönberg's international hit Les Misérables makes its Pittsburgh regional debut July 7-19, 2009.

Following will be Barry Manilow's pop tuner Cobacabana. Penned by Manilow, Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman, the musical adventure inspired by the hit song of the same name runs July 21-Aug. 2, 2009. The Pittsburgh CLO summer season concludes with Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's fairy tale-inspired musical Into the Woods, running Aug. 4-9, 2009.

Casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.

Season subscriptions for the 2009 summer season at Pittsburg CLO are currently available by visiting PittsburghCLO, or by phoning (412) 456-6666.
