Complete casting has been announced for the George Street Playhouse's upcoming production of Conor McPherson's The Seafarer, which begins previews Nov. 18.

Directed by Anders Cato, the production will play the New Brunswick, NJ, venue through Dec. 14. Opening night is Nov. 21.

Tony nominee Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll and Hyde) will head a cast that also includes David Adkins (from George Street's A Walk in the Woods), Matthew Boston (NJ Shakespeare Festival's Julius Cesar), William Hill (Steppenwolf's Broadway production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) and David Schramm (TV's "Wings").

In a statement George Street artistic director David Saint said, "When I saw the play on Broadway, I knew it was perfect for George Street. With its rich Irish story telling – laced with a devilish wit – this is the perfect antidote to the traditional holiday fare. I am always thrilled to welcome back the enormously talented director Anders Cato, as well as this remarkable cast."

"It's going to be a devil of a Christmas in Baldoyle, a coastal settlement just north of Dublin City," according to press notes. "The fog is dense and a group of friends have gathered for what seems to be a simple game of poker, until a mysterious stranger joins the game and raises the stakes damningly high."

The creative team includes scenic designer R. Michael Miller, lighting designer Howell Binkley, costume designer Jennifer Moller and sound designer Christopher J. Bailey. Composer Scott Killian will supply original music.

George Street Playhouse is located at 9 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, NJ. For tickets, priced $28-$65, call (732) 246-7717 or visit www.GSPonline.org.
