The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's new production of Romeo and Juliet opens Oct. 18 after previews from Oct. 15 at the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre. Jordan Coughtry is Romeo, and Rebecca Brooksher is Juliet.
Performances continue to Nov. 16. Coughtry played Mozart in the company's recent run of Amadeus. Brooksher appeared in Lincoln Center Theater's Dying City, for which she earned a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Best Actress.

Director David Kennedy's cast for Shakespeare's poetry-kissed tale of romantic woe also includes Chris Landis as Benvolio; Shawn Fagan as Mercutio; Tristan Colton as Tybalt; Jodie Lynne McClintock as Nurse; David Manis as Friar Laurence; Bill Christ as Capulet; Bernard Burak Sheredy as Montague; Judith Lightfoot Clark as Lady Capulet; Jon Barker, Robyn Berg, Nick Farco, Mark Farr, Sean Hudock, Dan Lendzian, Tim Nicolai and Todd Quick.
Performances are Tuesdays through Sundays at The Shakespeare Theatre’s Main Stage, the F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue on the Drew University campus, in Madison, NJ.
