The Rise and Fall of Annie Hall, a new play by Sam Foreman, begins performances at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row Oct. 24. The limited engagement, presented by Stage 13, is currently scheduled to run through Nov. 9.

Directed by Sam Gold, the cast features Noah Bean (FX's "Damages"), Dan Fogler (Spelling Bee Tony winner), Kate Gersten, Erica Newhouse and Charles Socarides (The Marriage of Bette and Boo). Opening night is scheduled for Oct. 26.

"In this new comedy," press notes state, "neurotic young playwright Henry Blume is on a mission to turn his favorite Woody Allen movie into the next great American musical. Betrayal, infidelity and romance fuel his reckless pursuit of Broadway glory, turning Henry's life upside down in this up to the minute, New York comedy about the perils of success in a notoriously cutthroat town."

The production features set and costume design by Dane Laffrey, lighting design by Ben Stanton and sound design by Jane Shaw. Rebecca Goldstein-Glaze is the production stage manager, and Lisa Dozier is the producer.

Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 and 7 PM.

Dan Fogler, Sarah Saltzberg and Bjorn Thorstad are the artistic directors of Stage 13.

The Lion Theatre at Theatre Row is located in Manhattan at 410 West 42nd Street. Tickets, priced $30, are available by visiting www.ticketcentral.com or the theatre's box office.
