Lisa Brescia, who was most recently seen in the Kennedy Center's Broadway: Three Generations, hosts the Oct. 27 Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The evening celebrates the work of composer-lyricist Stephen Weiner, who will accompany the performers on piano. Among those scheduled to perform are Ritter Hanz, Lucy Horton, Paul Louis Lessard, Lonna Marie and Quinn Van Antwerp. Show time is 7 PM.

Barbara Anselmi is the evening's musical director.

The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff, among others — is available by visiting www.scottalan.net. He is currently recording his second disc, "Keys: The Music of Scott Alan."

Lisa Brescia has been seen in the Broadway and Chicago productions of Wicked. Her other Broadway credits include The Times They Are A-Changin', The Woman in White and Aida. Her regional credits include leading roles in Evita, The Last 5 Years, A Little Night Music and Brigadoon.

Richard Rodgers Award winner Stephen Weiner has penned the musicals The Hudsucker Proxy (book and lyrics by Glenn Slater), Iron Curtain (book by Susan DiLallo, lyrics by Peter Mills), Once Upon a Time in New Jersey (book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo), newyorkers (lyrics by Glenn Slater) and Spittin' Image (book by Karin Kasdin, lyrics by Laura Szabo Cohen).

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $12 music charge and a two-drink minimum; for reservations call (212) 255-5438 or visit theduplex.com.
