Tony winner Mary-Louise Parker has signed on to co-star with Michael Douglas in the independent drama "Solitary."

Parker, who will return to the Broadway stage in a revival of Hedda Gabler for the Roundabout Theatre Company in 2009, joins a company of actors including Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito and Jenna Fischer, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Oscar winner Douglas stars as Ben, an ex-auto dealership owner whose career and marriage have collapsed. Parker will appear as Jordan, Douglas' powerful society friend.

Brian Koppelman has penned the script that he codirects with David Levien. Shooting begins in Manhattan next month.

In addition to her forthcoming Broadway return, Parker is set to continue her stint on Showtime's "Weeds." Most recently she appeared in the Off-Broadway production of Dead Man's Cell Phone at Playwrights Horizons.
