Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka, who played Shirley Feeney and Carmine Ragusa on the hit sitcom "Laverne & Shirley," will reunite for a production of It Had to Be You at the Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan, IL, in November.

Directed by Michael Weber, the Renée Taylor-Joseph Bologna comedy will begin performances Nov. 6 and run through Nov. 16.

It Had to Be You, according to press notes, is "the story of part-time 'B' movie actress and full time kook Theda Blau who, at a catastrophic audition as spokesperson for a cocktail mixer, meets divorced TV producer Vito Pignoli. Theda imagines her age range from 13 to 80, her bust size from flat to 44 and her new Russian comedy perfect, if she ever completes it. Vito is charmed and smitten with her unique zaniness, thinking her perfect for commercials. Sensing an opportunity for professional advancement, romantic love and unbridled sex, Theda invites Vito to her walk-down apartment for what turns into romance, slapstick, kidnapping and the date of their lives."

The production will feature scenic design by Angela Miller, lighting design by Dustin Derry, sound design by Joseph Fosco, properties design by Angelo Torre and costume design by Jeff Hendry. Shawn Pryby serves as production manager and stage manager.

Williams was most recently on the New York stage in the award-winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone. Mekka was seen Off-Broadway in My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm In Therapy!

Taylor and Bologna are also the authors of Lovers and Other Strangers, Bermuda Avenue Triangle and If You Ever Leave Me, I'm Going With You.
