PHOTO CALL: White Christmas Readies for Broadway

By Matthew Blank
03 Nov 2008

It's never too early to start preparing for the holidays, particularly for the cast of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, who are currently in rehearsals for the musical's Nov. 14 Broadway bow.

A regional favorite for the past four years, this stage adaptation of the classic 1954 movie lands in New York for the first time, playing a limited engagement at the Marquis Theatre through Jan. 4, 2009.

Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the production stars four veterans of various regional companies: Stephen Bogardus (Bob Wallace), Kerry O'Malley (Betty Haynes), Jeffry Denman (Phil Davis) and Meredith Patterson (Judy Haynes). Denman and Patterson originated their respective roles in the 2004 San Francisco world premiere. Bogardus and O'Malley headed the Boston premiere a year later.

Also featured are Charles Dean (General Henry Waverly), Susan Mansur (Martha Watson), Peter Reardon (Ralph Sheldrake), Cliff Bemis (Ezekiel), Sheffield Chastian (Mike Nulty) and Melody Hollis (Susan Waverly).

Phillip Attmore, Jacob ben Widmar, Sara Brians, Stephen Carrasco, Margot de la Barre, Mary Giattino, Anne Horak, Drew Humphrey, Wendy James, Amy Justman, Matthew Kirk, Sae La Chin, Richie Mastascusa, Jarran Muse, Alessa Neeck, Shannon O'Bryan, Con O'Shea-Creal, Athena Ripka, Kiira Schmidt, Chad Seib, Kelly Sheehan, Katherine Tokarz and Kevin Worley complete the cast.

Ticket prices are $66.50, $91.50 and $121.50 (including $1.50 facility fee) and are available by calling Ticketmaster at (212) 307-4100 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
