Chenoweth to Perform During Thanksgiving Day Parade; TV Appearances, Too

By Andrew Gans
05 Nov 2008

Chenoweth's new CD

Tony Award winner and "Pushing Daisies" Emmy nominee Kristin Chenoweth, who recently released her first holiday CD, is scheduled to be part of the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Chenoweth, according to her official website, will perform "Christmas Waltz" — a song featured on her new disc "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas" — at the Nov. 27 annual parade.

The acclaimed singing actress will also be featured on CBS' "Sunday Morning" (Nov. 23), NBC's "The Today Show" (Dec. 1 and 2) and ABC's "The View" (Dec. 1).

The ever-busy performer will also join the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for a one-night-only concert Jan. 10, 2009 at the Fox Theatre.

Kristin Chenoweth, who received a Tony nomination for her work as Glinda in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, has been seen on the New York stage in The Fantasticks, Scapin, Steel Pier, A New Brain, Epic Proportions, Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Apple Tree, Stairway to Paradise and Candide. The actress won her Tony Award for her performance as Sally Brown in the Broadway bow of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Chenoweth recently released her second solo recording, "As I Am" (Sony Classical), and her screen credits include "Kristin," "The West Wing," "The Music Man," "The Pink Panther," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Deck the Halls" and "Running with Scissors." Chenoweth can currently be seen on the new ABC series "Pushing Daisies."

Chenoweth will soon be seen in the new film comedy "Four Christmases," which co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn. She also just wrapped filming the independent film, "Into Temptation," which co-stars Jeremy Sisto.
