Tony-winning Broadway singer-actor Mandy Patinkin will perform three of his concerts in repertory — Mamaloshen, Celebrating Sondheim and Dress Casual — at the Public Theater in December.

The concerts, accompanied by Paul Ford, will be presented in repertory Dec. 8-21 in the Public's Anspacher Theater.

The limited engagement marks Patinkin's 20th anniversary with the Public Theater, where he performed his solo evening Dress Casual during his nights off from The Winter's Tale. He made his Public Theater debut in the 1976 production of Rebel Women. His Public appearances also include Henry IV Part 1, The Knife and Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party.

"Mandy Patinkin is an artist whose art and career are intertwined with the history of The Public Theater," said Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis in a statement. "We are thrilled to welcome Mandy home and give our audience the chance to see him in the intimate confines of the Anspacher Theater."

Patinkin added, "I long to sing again in the house that Joe built."

Tickets for the Patinkin's Public Theater concert engagement begin sale Nov. 9. The award-winning actor will also entertain London audiences with Mandy Patinkin in Concert at the Duke of York's Theatre Jan. 8-18, 2009.

Patinkin earned a Tony Award for his Broadway debut as Che in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita and was nominated in 1984 for his starring role in the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Sunday in the Park with George. His numerous stage appearances include The Secret Garden, The Tempest, Falsettos, Leave It to Beaver is Dead, Hamlet, Trelawney of the 'Wells,' The Shadow Box, The Split and Savages. Among his screen credits are "Yentl," "The Princess Bride," "Dick Tracy," "Chicago Hope," "Criminal Minds" and "Dead Like Me."

The performance schedule for Patinkin's Public Theater concerts follows: Dress Casual Dec. 8 at 8 PM, Dec. 9 at 7 PM, Dec. 13 at 8 PM, Dec. 16 at 7 PM and Dec. 20 at 8 PM; Celebrating Sondheim Dec. 11, 15 and 19 at 8 PM; and Mamaloshen Dec. 12 and 17 at 8 PM and Dec. 21 at 3 PM.

The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan.
