Men Are Real, the collection of sexually charged monologues from an all-Latino cast, will return Off-Broadway to the Theaters at 45 Bleecker Nov. 7.
Iris Silverio (Latinas Don't PMS) and Robert Dominguez (Outside Man) co-direct and produce the engagement, which features musical direction by David N. Fernandez of Zon del Barrio.
Men Are Real is described in press notes as "a series of down-and-dirty comic monologues: sexy Latinas dish on subjects ranging from promiscuity to domination to intimate relationships with inanimate objects, while five Latino studs explore love, loyalty, betrayal, the machismo myth & the lure of big Latina butts."
The adult-themed monologues have been contributed by Robert Dominguez, Iris Silverio, Halley Bondy, Alex Vallecillo-Bone, Antonio M. Lopez and Andres Rodriguez.
The cast – many also created monologues for the production – comprises Iris Silverio, Alex Vallecillo-Bone, Antonio M. Lopez, Marcel Puissant, Andres Rodriguez and Patrick Alverado Stephenson.
