Tony Award winner James Naughton and Academy Award winner Joanne Woodward will head the cast of the Westport Country Playhouse's A Holiday Garland.

Eileen Atkins and John Tillinger conceived the holiday production that comprises holiday songs, funny stories, poignant readings, jokes and poems. A Holiday Garland will run Dec. 13-21.

Tillinger, who has staged Time of My Life and Relatively Speaking for Westport, will direct. Additional casting will be revealed shortly.

James Naughton earned Tony Awards for his performances in City of Angels and the revival of Chicago. He directed the Broadway revivals of Our Town (which transferred from Westport) and The Price, and his screen credits include "Brooklyn Bridge," "The Cosby Mysteries," "Ally McBeal," "The Devil Wears Prada," "The Good Mother," "The Glass Menagerie" and "The Paper Chase."

Woodward, who also serves as co-artistic director of the Westport Playhouse, earned an Oscar for her work in "The Three Faces of Eve." Her stage credits include The Glass Menagerie, The Lovers, Baby Want a Kiss, Candida, Love Letters, Arsenic and Old Lace and Sweet Bird of Youth. Her numerous screen appearances include "Breathing Lessons," "Blindspot," "Foreign Affairs," "Philadelphia," "Empire Falls" and "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge."

Tickets are available by calling (203) 227-4177 or by visiting www.westportplayhouse.org.

In its 78-season history, the Westport Country Playhouse — located in Westport, CT — has produced more than 700 plays, 35 of which have transferred to Broadway.
