Annual Out 100 List Celebrates Jackson, O'Hare, Bell, Bowen, Albee, Arias and More

Out Magazine has named the over 100 personalities — both gay and straight — who comprise its annual Out 100 list.
Theatre favorite Cheyenne Jackson, most recently on the New York stage, has been named Entertainer of the Year. "Is Cheyenne Jackson the man we've all been waiting for?" asks Out Magazine. "Handsome and talented, able to seduce audiences of all genders and ages, he's the elusive figure with the potential to demolish the theory that an out actor can't get plum roles."
Others on the Out 100 list include actors Wilson Cruz, John Barrowman, Ian McKellen, Denis O'Hare, Stephen Spinella, David Marshall Grant and Dan Butler; playwrights Edward Albee, Tarell Alvin McCraney and Mart Crowley; "Wicked" author Gregory Maguire; [title of show] co-creators and co-stars Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen; director Alan Ball; writer-actor Bruce Vilanch; performance artists Joey Arias and Basil Twist; and actor-comic Mario Cantone.
