Ron Howard's silver-screen adaptation of Peter Morgan's Tony-nominated Best Play, Frost/Nixon, will arrive in select U.S. theatres Dec. 5 and 12 and will open nationwide Dec. 25, according to a press release.
Producers include Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner.
The film is rated R and is 122 minutes long.
"Frost/Nixon," according to press notes, "not only re-creates the on-air [David Frost-Richard Nixon] interview, but the weeks of around-the-world, behind-the-scenes maneuvering between the two men and their camps as negotiations were struck, deals were made and secrets revealed...all leading to the moment when they would sit facing one another in the court of public opinion."
Frank Langella won a Tony Award for his performance as Nixon in the Broadway production. Langella is currently back on Broadway in the Roundabout's revival of A Man for All Seasons.
