Little, Keelan, Terry and Holdbrook-Smith Will Offer 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover at Christmas

By Mark Shenton
18 Nov 2008

50 Ways to Leave Your Lover at Christmas, a revised seasonal version of a group-created play first seen at the Bush Theatre in July 2008, will return there next month.

Performances are scheduled to begin Dec. 8 prior to an official opening Dec. 10. The limited engagement will run through Jan. 10, 2009.

According to press materials, there are a million ways to tell someone it's over, and where better than under the mistletoe? Described as a "crazy cocktail of characters and stories," the show – co-created by Leah Chillery, Ben Ellis, Stacey Gregg, Lucy Kirkwood, Morgan Lloyd Malcom and Ben Schiffer and inspired by true stories contributed by its audience – explores every aspect of the break-up.

Ralf Little (best known for "The Royle Family" and "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps" on TV, Olivier-nominated for Most Promising Performer for his performance in Presence at the Royal Court in 2001 and last seen onstage in Stacy at Trafalgar Studios in October 2008) will star alongside original fellow actors Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Claire Keelan and Michelle Terry.

The production is directed by Anthea Williams, designed by Mika Handley, with music composed by Arthur Darvill, sound by Tom Gibbons and choreography by Adam Penfold.
