The Keen Company's revival of Jan de Hartog's 1952 Tony-winning marital play The Fourposter concludes its limited run Off-Broadway Nov. 22.
Blake Lawrence directed Todd Weeks and Jessica Dickey in the two-hander that began previews Oct. 7 and officially opened Oct. 19 at the Clurman Theatre.
Weeks (Some Americans Abroad, The Full Monty) and Dickey (The Cherry Orchard, Alfred Kinsey: A Love Story) play Michael and Agnes, respectively, whose 35 years of marriage — "from their wedding night in 1890 through the universal highs and lows of adulation, consummation, infatuation, tribulation and reparation" — are explored in the Tony-winning play.
The creative team includes Sandra Goldmark (set design), Theresa Squire (costume design), Josh Bradford (lighting design) and Jill BC DuBoff (sound design).
