Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw will host "Christmas in Washington," the annual holiday special that will make its premiere Dec. 17 on the TNT Network.

The 8 PM ET program will boast performances by Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, the Grammy-winning Christian music group Casting Crowns, country star Julianne Hough, Grammy winner Darius Rucker and the a cappella group Straight No Chaser.

The concert, which is attended by the President and the First Lady, benefits the National Children's Medical Center. "Christmas in Washington" will be taped at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.

Michael Wright, senior vice president in charge of the content creation group for TNT, TBS and TCM, said in a statement, "We are proud that TNT is home to this extraordinary holiday concert benefiting the National Children's Medical Center. This year's slate of performers is guaranteed to make the 2008 edition of 'Christmas in Washington' a holiday treat the whole family can enjoy."

The Dec. 17 broadcast will be followed by TNT's "A Christmas Carol," which boasts Patrick Stewart as Ebenezer Scrooge.

"Christmas in Washington" is executive-produced by George Stevens, Jr. and directed and produced by Michael Stevens for The Stevens Company. For TNT, Ricki Rosenfeld and David Bryant serve as executives in charge of production, with Mark Shimmel as music talent consultant.

Kristin Chenoweth, who received a Tony nomination for her work as Glinda in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, has been seen on the New York stage in The Fantasticks, Scapin, Steel Pier, A New Brain, Epic Proportions, Strike Up the Band, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Apple Tree, Stairway to Paradise and Candide. The actress won her Tony Award for her performance as Sally Brown in the Broadway bow of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Her screen credits include "Four Christmases," "Into Temptation," "Pushing Daisies," "Kristin," "The West Wing," "The Music Man," "The Pink Panther," "Stranger Than Fiction," "Deck the Halls" and "Running with Scissors." Her solo recordings include "Let Yourself Go," "As I Am" and the newly released "A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas."
