LAST CHANCE: Farragut North, If You See Something, Break Out and Basic Training

By Adam Hetrick
25 Nov 2008

Productions concerning a presidential primary race, a comedic prison escape and the price Americans willingly pay for their freedom conclude their Off-Broadway engagements.

What follows is Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway and Off-Broadway productions before they close.

Concluding Nov. 29

  • Farragut North (Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company). Tony Award winner John Gallagher Jr. and Chris Noth star in Beau Willimon's new political drama about a wunderkind press secretary who learns that there are more players in the political game than just the candidates. For tickets visit AtlanticTheater.

    Concluding Nov. 30

  • If You See Something Say Something (Off-Broadway at Joe's Pub). Monologist Mike Daisey sets his sights on the Department of Homeland Security, asking what it means to be secure and the price Americans are willing to pay for it. For tickets visit PublicTheater.

  • Break Out (Off-Broadway at the Union Square Theatre). The dance comedy spectacle from the creators of Jump about a group of prisoners who plan a daring escape to enjoy a brief, and hilarious, moment of freedom. For tickets visit Ticketmaster.

    Concluding Dec. 1

  • Basic Training (Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre). Kahlil Ashanti's autobiographical one-man show chronicles his enlistment in the U.S. Air Force as a member of an elite entertainment troupe where he must ultimately face the childhood he tried to forget.
