The Truth About Santa, by Urinetown Tony Award winner Greg Kotis, begins previews at Off-Broadway's Kraine Theater Dec. 3.

Directed by Obie winner John Clancy, the new play with music will officially open Dec. 6 and run through Dec. 20.

The cast features Clay Adams, Bill Coelius, Jeff Gurner, Clay Adams, Luisa Strus and the entire Kotis family: Greg Kotis, India Kotis (age 11), Milo Kotis (age 8) and Ayun Halliday (Kotis' wife).

"Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!," according to The Truth About Santa a press release. "And the terrible truth about who he is, how he treats his elves, and what his home life has become will all be revealed in The Truth About Santa. Will this Christmas be Santa's last? Will Mrs. Claus finally make good on her threat to submerge humanity in a lake of fire? Who are these children and where did they get their strange powers?"

The production, press notes state, is "not for children —adults and extremely skeptical tweens only, please."

Show times are Wednesday-Friday at 8 PM and Saturday at 5 and 8 PM.

The Kraine Theater is located at 85 East 4th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues). Tickets, priced $18, are available by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.HorseTRADE.info.
