Goldrich and Heisler, Billy Elliot and New Composers Featured on Playbill Radio Dec. 23-30

In addition to round-the-clock show tunes and Broadway news at the top of each hour, Playbill Radio offers the following special programming.

The schedule for the week of Dec. 23-30 follows.

Center Stage
Dec. 23: Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler, songwriters of "Taylor, The Latte Boy" and other cabaret hits, have released on all-star CD of their musical Dear Edwina, which is also currently making its Off-Broadway debut. They're in the studio this week to take us through the project and discuss their Broadway-bound Ever After.

This week's "Center Stage" debuts at 7 PM ET Tuesday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 2 AM Wednesday, Dec. 24; 11 PM Wednesday, Dec. 24; 2 PM Thursday, Dec. 25; 11 AM Saturday, Dec. 27; and 4 PM Sunday, Dec. 28.

Playbill Presents
Dec. 24: Playbill Radio goes backstage at Broadway's Imperial Theatre to talk to Billy Elliot stars Carole Shelley and Greg Jbara about the show's challenges and rewards, and what it's like to work with all those kids.

This week's "Playbill Presents" debuts at 7 PM (ET) Wednesday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 2 AM Thursday, Dec. 25; 11 PM Thursday, Dec. 25; 2 PM Friday Dec. 26; 4 PM Saturday, Dec. 27; and 11 AM Sunday, Dec. 28.

Composer Spotlight
Dec. 25: The last decade has been a boom time for first-time Broadway songwriters, who created the last seven Tony-winning musicals. We re-introduce you to more than a dozen up-and-coming songwriters who have made their debuts in that time and who will be making music on Broadway in the twenty-first century.

Each week's "Composer Spotlight" show debuts at 7 PM (ET) Thursday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 2 AM Friday, Dec. 26; 11 PM Friday, Dec. 26; 8 PM Sunday, Dec. 28; and 2 PM Monday, Dec. 29.

"Theater Talk" on Playbill Radio
Dec. 27: Writer/actor Harvey Fierstein pays a holiday visit. He has returned to Broadway's Hairspray for the final month of the musical's successful run, playing Edna Turnblad, the role that he originated in the hit show over six years ago.

Each week's "Theater Talk" show debuts at 7 PM (ET) Saturday, with repeats scheduled for (all times ET) 11 PM Monday, Dec. 29 and 2 PM Tuesday, Dec. 30.

This weekend's programming features White Christmas at 11 AM Saturday, Dec. 20 and 4 PM Sunday, Dec. 21; Meryl Streep at 4 PM Saturday, Dec. 20 and 11 AM Sunday, Dec. 21; a A Musical Christmas Tribute at 8 PM Sunday, Dec. 21 and 2 PM Monday, Dec. 22; "Theater Talk" at 7 PM Saturday, Dec. 20, 11 PM Monday, Dec. 22 and 2 PM Tuesday, Dec. 23; and "Stephen Sondheim: The Story So Far" at 7 PM Sunday, Dec. 21.
