Recent Tale of Two Cities leading man James Barbour will return to Sardi's in late January to premiere a new cabaret show Love Songs.
Barbour, who just concluded his solo run at Sardi's with The Holiday Concert on Jan. 4, reunites with musical director Jeremy Roberts to premiere the new evening of song beginning Jan. 31.
Love Songs will play Saturday evenings through Feb. 28, offering special Valentines concerts on Feb. 13, 14 and 15. Showtime is 9:30 PM.
Songs revealed for Barbour's winter Sardi's engagement include "Loving You Keeps Me Alive," "If Ever I Would Leave You," "If I Loved You," "If I Can’t Love Her," "If Dreams Come True," "My Funny Valentine," "Embraceable You," "On The Street Where You Live," "Unexpected Song" and "Autumn Leaves."
This season James Barbour was seen as Sydney Carton in A Tale of Two Cities. His other Broadway credits include Assassins, Urinetown, Jane Eyre, Beauty and the Beast, Carousel and Cyrano—The Musical. He has appeared in such films as "Eight Crazy Nights" and has guest-starred on such television shows as "Sex and the City" and "Ed."
