Emmy Winner Baldwin to Host "New York Philharmonic This Week" Broadcasts

Stage and screen star Alec Baldwin, an Emmy Award winner for his work in "30 Rock," will host "The New York Philharmonic This Week," the Philharmonic's national radio broadcast, beginning in the 2009–10 season.

The two-hour broadcasts are heard 52 weeks a year. The program is heard locally in the Manhattan area on 96.3 WQXR Thursdays at 9 PM ET.

"The New York Philharmonic This Week" is syndicated to more than 295 outlets nationwide and represent virtually the entire orchestral season. The concerts are also available worldwide via the Philharmonic's website for two weeks following the broadcast.

Alec Baldwin was most recently on Broadway in Twentieth Century. His other Broadway credits include A Streetcar Named Desire (Tony nomination), Serious Money and Loot (Theatre World Award). Baldwin was also nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in "The Cooler" and won an Emmy for his work in "30 Rock."
