Broadway Godot Tickets On Sale to AmEx Cardholders Starting Jan. 21

There is no need to wait for tickets to Broadway's new production of Waiting for Godot. They go on sale Jan. 21 exclusively to American Express cardholders.

Tickets for the new Roundabout Theatre Company production of the Samuel Beckett masterpiece will be available Jan. 21-Feb 5. to AmEx members online at www.roundabouttheatre.org, by phone at (212) 719-1300 or at the Studio 54 theatre box office (254 West 54th Street). Ticket prices range from $36.50-$116.50.

Studio 54, which is currently the home of the revival of Pal Joey, will welcome the starry revival of Beckett's Waiting for Godot, directed by Tony winner Anthony Page, April 3. Opening night is April 30.

As previously reported, the Roundabout production will feature Nathan Lane (Estragon), Bill Irwin (Vladimir), John Goodman (Pozzo) and David Strathairn (Lucky) with Matthew Schechter (Boy).

The design team includes Santo Loquasto (sets), Jane Greenwood (costumes) and Peter Kaczorowski (lights).

Waiting for Godot, according to Roundabout, "revolves around two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone — or something — named Godot. Vladimir (Bill Irwin) and Estragon (Nathan Lane) wait near a tree on a barren stretch of road, inhabiting a drama spun from their own consciousness. The result is a comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes and nonsense, which has been interpreted as a somber summation of mankind's inexhaustible search for meaning."

Public on-sale begins Feb. 6. Through ACCESS Roundabout, 100 tickets will be available for the first preview performance (April 3) for only $10 each.
