Six benefit readings of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore will be presented Monday evenings at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre beginning Feb. 2.
Directed by Karen Carpenter, the readings will feature a cast of five women, whose names will be revealed at curtain time. Among those currently scheduled to be part of at least one reading are Tyne Daly, Blythe Danner, Kristen Johnston, Sarah Jones, Rosie O'Donnell, Parker Posey, Karyn Quackenbush, Rondi Reed, Kristen Schaal, Marlo Thomas and Joyce Van Patten. Show time is 8 PM.
Based on Ilene Beckerman's book of the same name, Love, Loss, and What I Wore, according to press notes, "is about clothes and the memories they trigger." Daryl Roth is presenting the readings.
Proceeds will be donated to Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that "provides interview clothing and job support for low-income women getting back into the workforce." Audience members are also invited to donate their gently used accessories and purses, which will be collected in the lobby.
