Ashley, Murphy, Mayberry, Guerrero, West Join August for 500th Performance, and Beyond

In addition to Elizabeth Ashley joining the Broadway cast of August: Osage County on Feb. 3, wayward members of the original Broadway cast of the acclaimed darkly comic drama are returning to the roost the same day. Their entrance at the Music Box coincides with the 500th performance of the Tony Award-winning work by Tracy Letts.

As previously announced, Ashley (Dividing the Estate) joins the cast as blowsy Aunt Mattie Fae. Returning to the show Tuesday are four acclaimed original cast members: Sally Murphy as Ivy Weston, Troy West as the Sheriff, Kimberly Guerrero as Native American housekeeper Johnna and Mariann Mayberry as Karen.

The foursome come directly from the London run.

As of Feb. 3, the cast will feature Elizabeth Ashley, Guy Boyd, John Cullum, Johanna Day, Kimberly Guerrero, Brian Kerwin, Madeleine Martin, Mariann Mayberry, Michael Milligan, Sally Murphy, Estelle Parsons, Troy West and Frank Wood.

The play, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, concerns an Oklahoma family's reunion after the disappearance of the patriarch (played by Cullum). This is the lauded Steppenwolf Theatre Company production, which started in Chicago in summer 2007 and was snatched up by commercial producers for a late 2007 Broadway berth. Anna D. Shapiro directs, and won the Best Direction Tony Award for her chore.

August: Osage County currently performs Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Friday at 7:30 PM, matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2 PM, Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
