Bernadette Peters to Reprise Role on Feb. 19 and 26 Episodes of "Ugly Betty"

Two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, who played editor Jodie Papadakis on the Jan. 8 episode of the ABC series "Ugly Betty," will reprise that role on two upcoming episodes of the ABC series.

Peters will guest on both the Feb. 19 episode, which is titled "There's No Place Like Mode," and the Feb. 26 episode, which is titled "Things Fall Apart."

In "There's No Place Like Mode," press notes state, "Fashion Week brings chaos to the Modies, as Betty copes with simultaneously putting on a show for a bizarre new designer named Heinrich and with an assignment from YETI to partner up with Matt (guest star Daniel Eric Gold), who works at a sports magazine, to learn about each other's jobs. Meanwhile, Wilhelmina fears she's lost her edge in the fashion world because she's been spending too much time with Conner, Daniel tries giving Molly a makeover, and a new member of the Mode team makes a dramatic entrance." Guests will also include Grant Bowler as Connor Owens, Sarah Lafleur as Molly, Lauren Velez as Elena, Daniel Eric Gold as Matt, Alec Mapa as Suzuki St. Pierre and Michael Stuhlbarg as Heinrich.

In "Things Fall Apart," "Betty makes a surprising discovery when an assignment from YETI finds her and Marc analyzing Mode's budget for the past year. Meanwhile, she deals with increased attention from Matt (Daniel Eric Gold), and the knowledge that old flame Henry the accountant has posted some unexpected news on Facebook." Guests will also include Grant Bowler as Connor Owens, Sarah Lafleur as Molly, Lauren Velez as Elena, Daniel Eric Gold as Matt, Laura Heisler as Jenny and Chris Northrop as the blonde Modie.

"Ugly Betty" airs 8-9 PM ET on ABC-TV; check local listings.

Bernadette Peters was last on Broadway in the acclaimed revival of Gypsy, for which she received a 2003 Tony Award nomination for her performance as Rose in the Sam Mendes-directed production. She won her two Tonys for her performances in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song & Dance and Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun, and she has also starred on Broadway in Mack & Mabel, On the Town, Sunday in the Park with George, The Goodbye Girl and the original production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods. Peters' newest live recording, "Sondheim, Etc., Etc.—Bernadette Peters Live at Carnegie Hall (The Rest of It)," is available on the Angel Records label. Masterworks Broadway has also released a "Legends of Broadway" CD celebrating her theatrical career. Peters' screen credits are numerous.
