A.R. Gurney's family drama Children, a co-presentation with the Westport Country Playhouse, will open the 2009 season at Williamstown July 1-12. Under the direction of John Tillinger, Children will first play Connecticut's Westport in May.
Brothers Nate and Rob Corddry will duel in a full production of Sam Shepard's True West July 15-26 under the direction of Daniel Goldstein (Godspell). The Corddry brothers performed a reading of the Shepard work at Williamstown in July 2008.
Veteran Tony-winning stage actress Marian Seldes will join Becky Ann Baker (All My Sons) in George Kelly's The Torch-Bearers, which will run July 29-Aug. 9 under the direction of Dylan Baker.
It was also announced that Tony winner Jefferson Mays (Journey's End, I Am My Own Wife) and Simon Jones (Blithe Spirit) will star in the previously announced staging of Simon Gray's Quartermaine's Terms, under the direction of 39 Steps' Maria Aitken, Aug. 12-23.
