Adam Lambert, who was part of the cast of the Los Angeles production of Wicked, has advanced yet again in the "American Idol" competition.

It was announced on the Feb. 26 broadcast of the top-rated Fox series that the big-voiced singer will be one of the top 12 "American Idol" finalists. Only six finalists have been revealed; the next six will be announced within the next two weeks.

Lambert belted out the Rolling Stones classic "Satisfaction" during the live Feb. 25 broadcast. His rendition was enough to secure him a place in the top 12.

Others who have currently made the top 12 include Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen and Michael Sarver.

In addition to Wicked, Lambert has also been seen onstage in The Ten Commandments.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
